This easy hike crosses rice terraces and climbs through forest to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a four-story stupa built in 2004 by the queen mother. The hilltop location offers views down the Punakha Valley toward the dzong and up the Mo Chhu river. The trail is well-maintained and suitable for all fitness levels, making it a good half-day addition to any Punakha visit.
