Practical info

Emergency numbers in Bhutan

Most tourists travel with a licensed Bhutanese tour operator who handles emergency liaison. Save these for direct contact. Mobile coverage is reliable in valleys but spotty on high-altitude treks (Jomolhari, Snowman) — carry a satellite communicator on remote routes.

In a life-threatening emergency, call 113 (police) or 112 (ambulance) first.
