The Bumthang Owl Trek (also called the Bumthang Cultural Trek) is a three-day loop through the valleys around Jakar, crossing forested ridges, visiting remote temples, and passing through yak-herding country. It offers a good introduction to trekking in central Bhutan without the commitment of a longer expedition, and connects naturally with the cultural sites of the Bumthang Valley.
